Fires are very dangerous and can very quickly grow from a spark to a deadly inferno. Fires have been devastating to Sonoma County, as we all know, and now is the time to fireproof YOU home, before this season’s fire season. Here are some things you can do to help fireproof your home:
1. Make sure your CO2 and smoke detectors are up to code.
2. Make sure your heater and a/c vents are clean.
3. Check and test your smoke/fire alarms and CO2 detectors at least once a year.
4. Replace any cracked or broken outlets.
5. Never do your own electrical work.
6. Keep flammable liquids and detergents properly separated.
7. Know where your gas shutoff valves are.
8. Inspect and test your circuit breakers, replace if necessary.
